Last summer I had the pliviledge of visiting Europe. Shortly after, my computer crashed and I thought I had lost all of my photos from it! Awful right? Well thankfully while cleaning out my hardrive today, I found some that I had saved in iPhoto. Even though there are only a few, I’m glad I have a few to print out and share with you! Enjoy!
p.s. I’ve created a separate blog on Tumblr to post outtakes from photoshoots, daily life, and inspirational/funny photos I find here and there. Go to http://maryklaren.tumblr.com/ to see more!

Today was wonderful. After a long day at work, I got a call from one of my sweet brides. We ended up talking for what must have been over an hour about her dress, reception decor ideas, photography techniques, and so much more. After I got off the phone with her, I got an e-mail saying that another sweet bride had posted something on my facebook wall! This girl posted the most HILARIOUS YouTube videos that she just knew I’d love (they were about kittens and children. Of course I love them! haha). And after THAT, I got to talk to a prospective maternity client about her baby on the way! I love my clients, and love it even more when they become friends. I happen to have the coolest wedding and portrait clients in the world.
I’m so glad that I have the opportunity to become more than my client’s photographer-but their friend as well! I love getting to encourage them and get excited about their wedding, baby, engagement, graduation from high school… whatever! It’s such an hour to be apart of yalls life. Life is good. I’m glad I’m here and get to be a part of it. And I’m REALLY glad that God gives me the grace to be happy about life. He is GOOD.
And because every post is just incomplete without photos, here are some I’ve taken over the past few weeks. Enjoy!

For pricing go to the top of the page, and scroll over “pages.” A drop down menu will appear, and when it does, scroll down to “Pricing and Contact.” Enjoy!
Whenever I make a new friend and find out they smoke, I immediately ask them if they’ll model for me. I have this image in my head of capturing the smoke just perfectly… Haven’t gotten there yet, but the journey there is definitely fun

A few weeks ago I helped the oh-so-lovely Shanna of S. Russell Photography shoot a wedding at Abilene Christian University. I was worried I wasn’t going to be of much help since Shanna seemed to have everything covered-she’s so awesome! But since I went to ACU last year, I knew a ton of great photo locations, and was thus helpful. It was such a beautiful wedding. They couldn’t have picked a better venue. Chapel on The Hill at ACU is an absolutely beautiful stained glass chapel, and the Abilene Country Club was so chic with it’s hardwood floors and gorgeous chandeliers.
These are just a few of my favorites, but to get the whole story of their wedding, make sure to go to Shanna’s blog! Enjoy!

I love this picture below. This was taken as Jody was walking up the stairs with her father to her wedding. She came back down the stairs as a married woman, with the love of her life.
Also, Chapel on the Hill has BEAUTIFUL stained class windows, as you’ll also see below

Off to the reception at the Abilene Country Club!

This is my friend Izzy. I met her in art class last semester at Abilene Christian University
we both live in Austin now (she goes back to ACU in the fall), and I got to hang out with her a few nights ago. I’m working on a separate project with these photos. One I think you’ll like very much
keep an eye open for her pretty silhouette in the next few days.
p.s. Like the new blog look? I know I certainly do!

I know Jody through Katelyn & Matt, a couple who’s wedding I shot a month or so ago. Jody is such a sweet heart
and so are her kiddos! The four hour drive from Austin to Albany for this shoot was totally worth it. Jody picked out the perfect outfits and was right on time for her session. She and her girls, Charlee and Caitlyn, were all smiles, and Charlee’s dad was such a good helper (he carried around props for me the entire shoot! I didn’t even have to ask. So sweet). Anyway, enough chit chat. Look at this cute family!
P.S. Baby feet will always be the most adorable things ever.

And here is Charlee’s sweet big sister, Caitlyn (sorry if I got the spelling wrong, Jody!). Isn’t she adorable?
Above: The pictures of Charlee and her dad at the softball feild are really special for their family. Charlee has and will continue to grow up around a family who LOVES to play softball, and we wanted to make sure to get some pictures to remember that part of her life. I just can’t get enough of the picture of Charlee in her daddy’s hat
she might not have liked it too much, but it was so cute, nonetheless
Hope you found some you love, Jody! Your family was just TOO cute. Thank you for choosing me to photograph this precious time in your life. You are awesome!

Oh. My. Goodness.
It was so hard to pick all the pictures for this blog. haha There were so many! A few weeks ago, my wonderful boyfriend came to visit again and while he was here, he bought a new camera and learned a little about mine. We also hung out with a lot of his family and friends during his stay and while visiting his family, I took some family pictures of them. So like I said, it took me a long time to edit all the pictures and pick favorites to blog! So! Enjoy family and friends. I know we enjoyed taking all these photos
This next series is all pictures taken by THE Michale Sturdevant
except for the first photo. That was me. But anyway, Michale, or as I call him, Mikey, bought a Holga camera and these are some of my favorite shots he took with it.

Ok, back to digital. Here’s Mikey showing off his new, awesome camera. He also took some pictures of me with my digital. Any picture without rounded corners is one that he took.
During his visit to Austin, we met his parents in Waco for some good ole quality time. We made sure to get some family pictures in
Mikey’s dad works in Morocco, Africa, and Mikey is off in the Navy, so it was important to get pictures while they were all together. Mikey’s dad was sweet enough to get a picture of me and Mikey together. This picture below was taken at the Zoo…in Texas…during the middle of the day in summer. I’m very surprised that Mikey and I aren’t visibly drenched in sweat in this picture below. haha Instead, we’re just very very pale.
Also, the pictures of Melynda and Chris are SO ADORABLE. Easily some of my favorites. It was so evident that Melynda missed her man and was happy to be with him after he had been away for so long. You can just see it in her eyes
Love it! Chris, Melynda, you two are so sweet and I’m glad I see you guys again
Hope these pictures are what you were looking for. More coming to you in the mail now!
Back to more photos Michale and I took
there are just so many…

I’ll leave you with my favorite
just bokeh, but it’s pretty
